I have started a 21 day ‘Renew Your Mind’ challenge. It started on 3/11/17 and ends 3/31/17. I will be putting some short videos on You Tube for 21 days and give some inspirational and motivational advice on how to get your mind renewed. It takes 21 days to form a habit. This will give you a good foundation that you can continue with after the 21 days are over.
If you are depressed or living in fear or anxiety, take this challenge and change your mindset. It does help. Even Christians battle these things and need some help getting out of their funk. Go to my ‘Re-new Your Mind’ tab and print the free 21 day calendar and get started. Don’t let the enemy steal another minute of your life.
There are a lot of scary things going on in the world today. We just had several terrorist attacks and the threats of more to come. How are we to handle this uncertainty? Do we live in fear of what’s to come? Do we hide and try to avoid others just to be on the safe side? No, we can’t bury our heads in the sand and let the enemy terrify us. Psalms 55:5 says, “Fear and trembling overwhelm me, and I can’t stop shaking.” We have got to trust God! If we let the enemy stop us from being free, then he has already won.
Fear will hang on tight and not let go. In Job 14:4, Job says, “Fear gripped me, and my bones trembled.” Fear will get a tight grip on us and when it has us, it’s very hard to make it let go. It won’t leave voluntarily. It won’t leave if you ask it to. It will paralyze you and ultimately kill you.
2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” If God didn’t give us fear, then where did it come from? Why do we have it? The answer is that the enemy is trying to stop us with fear. Fear will keep us from our life and our expected end. Fear will keep us from going out and preaching the good news to all the nations. Fear will keep us in bondage to our mindset.
1 John 4:18 tells us, “Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.” We need to remember that Jesus came so that we might have a more abundant life. Not a fearful life. Not a depressed life. Not an unhealthy life. A more abundant life! Again, it’s our choice what kind of life we have. We will sometime have to fight with our own minds to take control over our thoughts and fears. Fight with the Word of God. Then you will have the victory.
