Are Christians walking in the love that we were commissioned to walk in? I really don’t think so. If we were, then the world would notice that we were different. As it is, most people can’t tell if someone is a Christian or not. We must do a better job of standing out and setting ourselves apart from the world.
I want to make a change in this world. I don’t want to die without making somebody’s life better. Whether it’s from something I say or something I write, my heart’s desire is that others will be freed from the bondage that the enemy of our souls tried to kill them with. I want others to know the truth about our Lord and Savior, Jesus. He came so that we might have abundant life. Jesus came here so that we can have a good life here, not just in Heaven.
Let’s love others so much that we tell them the truth about their sins. We can’t just hold their hand and lead them to hell by telling them that everything they’re doing is OK and grace covers all. That’s not the truth. When we knowingly sin against God, we are trampling the blood of Jesus. Why would Jesus tell us to take up our cross and follow him, if we could do and act the way the world does?
If we are truly new creations and born again believers, we would long to do what Jesus commissioned us to do. I don’t want to let Him down. He has never let me down. I want to be different. I don’t want to be like the world. The world makes me sad. I look at all the churches we have everywhere around where I live, and very few of them are making a difference in this community! I want to make a bigger difference in my community! Who will join me? John 15:13 (NLT), “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
