Isaiah 43:1-2 (NIV) says, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Our Lord has summoned us by name. We are His. He protects us and keeps us safe wherever we go. He will help us get through everything we are facing. We are not alone.
God wants to help us in our time of trouble. Just ask and you will see. Psalms 46:1-2 (NIV) says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in the time of trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.” That gives me peace. Just to know that God cares enough to help us when we need Him. He has helped me so much during my life. Even though I fail Him daily, He has never failed me. I don’t want to fail Him again.
Psalms 34:4 (NIV) says, “I sought the Lord, and He answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” He is faithful. When I just take a small step in faith, He will make sure I am going in the right direction and He shortens the distance to my breakthrough. It’s happened over and over in my life. It blows my mind. If you will trust Him, He will make your crooked places straight.
