God is not the author of confusion

Merriam-Webster’s definition of confusion is: a situation in which people are uncertain about what to do or are unable to understand something clearly; a state or situation in which many things are happening in a way that is not controlled or orderly.

God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33

1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) says, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” My thoughts on this matter are as follows: If you are confused, it is not God that is causing it. You could be doing something that you know in your heart is not right, but the devil is trying to talk you into it anyway. Just because it feels good or it seems fun or because everybody else is doing it and you want to fit in does not make it right. If you are questioning it, it might be because the Holy Spirit is trying to tell you ‘No, don’t do this”. The destroyer of our souls would love to convince you to go against God’s word and sin.

In Genesis 3:1 (NIV) the word tells us, “Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” Then Genesis 3:4 goes on to say, “You will not certainly die, ” the serpent said to the woman.”

Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Sin will kill you, maybe not right then, but it will kill you. That’s the whole reason we must de from this fallen life. God didn’t want us to have to live eternal life with sin. The enemy will only get the opportunity to torment and confuse us for a time and then he will be out of the picture for good.
