Full armor of God

In Ephesians 6:11, the Bible tells us to put on the full armor of God, so that we stand against the enemy’s schemes. The devil is constantly trying to destroy our lives. He will keep us overwhelmed with business and our focus will be on everything but God. That is when he gets us. When our eyes are on us and our problems instead of our problem solver.

Wrap yourself with the belt of truth. Love people enough to tell them the truth. It might be awkward and it might sound mean, but sin has consequences. It’s better that they know beforehand than find out afterwards. If there is even a small chance of saving them from death, wouldn’t it be worth that uncomfortable conversation?

Put on the breastplate of righteousness. We are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. If we will remember who we are because of Jesus, then we will always know that we have all the victory. No weapon formed against us will prosper!

Be fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace. Be peacemakers. The Bible says that the peacemakers are blessed!

Use your shield of faith. We are all given a measure of faith. Each time God proves Himself to us, our faith will grow. We just need to see what God is doing instead of murmuring and complaining about everything not going our way. God will work for us in our storms so that we can see that He is taking care of us.

You must put on the helmet of salvation. That is the most important part. Jesus died for us so that we could be saved from hell. God doesn’t want any to perish, or He wouldn’t have sent Jesus to be our sacrifice. Jesus did it because he loves us. All of us. Even the ones who murdered him. He was pleading for their forgiveness as he was dying. THAT’S LOVE.

Don’t forget your sword of the spirit. That is the Bible. If you don’t read it you won’t know what’s in it. Don’t argue facts about the Bible if you haven’t taken the time to research it. It is life changing. It’s our guidebook and it’s lasted through the ages just for us. The Bible is the living word of God. It’s God in word form.
